Crafting quality footwear since 1867.
We want to partner with you to manufacture your line at our factory.
In The Beginning
In 1865, Peter Wycoff Minor and his brother Abrahm Vorhees were walking home after serving in the Civil War. As the miles wore on, they developed a plan to provide our young country with quality footwear that was reliable and well made.
Operating through four generations of family ownership, the original Minor Brothers Boot and Shoe factory is the second oldest shoemaker in America. And we remain just as committed as our founders to manufacturing the highest quality footwear.
As It Stands
The qualities that made a pair of shoes great in 1867 are just the same today; the highest grade materials, a total commitment to craftsmanship, and an understanding of value. We make sure everything coming out of our factory delivers on these beliefs.
The heart of our factory is a production line building some of the best welted footwear in America. We still make shoes to the exacting specifications of our founders, with cork fill smoothed by hand and leather welts trimmed with a lifetime of experience.
Our Next Steps
Although our commitment to quality has never wavered, technology has changed a lot in the last century and a half. New machines and materials have allowed Minor Brothers to introduce unparalleled cushioning and comfort.
To continue making the highest quality shoes in America, we invested heavily in new equipment. We now produce some of the most technically advanced footwear available and our new facilities make almost any athletic or comfort shoe imaginable.
